Welcome Home, to Whiskey Company, where through this Newsletter we will be documenting our journey. The Good, The Bad and the Whiskey. Make sure to read thoroughly, you won’t want to miss what’s to come.
February – A time revered for Love, Family and Connections. During this month dedicated to our hearts, we imply you to think about those in your life whom matter most. Share with them your deepest desires and your worst fears. Connection and community make us whole.

Guard of the Month
February’s Member of the Month is Lance-Corporal Perira Whitevail.
“After years of service in several division, and various accolades… I have to say… Joining the guards is probably one of the worst choices anyone can make. Terrible pay, little upward mobility, everyone expects you to solve every big problem and tiny nuisance but few offer respect. You have 2 millimeters of unenchanted steel to protect you from the claws, blades and magical nightmares stormwind can conjure up all while watching your back to make sure the citizens you protect don’t trample or stab you in a riot for discisions out of your control as they rave about your incompitence. Everyone is so angry and mean it is exhausting and near impossible to not become jaded. And worst of all… the paperwork…
And yet… The relief in a victims eyes when they are finally safe, the unbreakable comradery and loyalty in the colleagues and friends that experienced the same traumas, and knowledge that you are making things better… It makes it all worth it. Every scar, every yelling civilian, every stupid long series of elven swears paper changed me from a scared little girl living in basements to a strong little lance-corporal that commands soldiers 3 times her size against the worst of stormwind. I will be forever be thankful and proud to be one of the first ren to serve.” – Lance-Corproal Perira Whitevale

Knowledge is useful.

She had this to say on the matter: “The firearms training went well with only one minor incident, I won’t name names… but McNorren knows who he is. Other than that remember the rules I taught you when handling any firearm, work or not. Other than that, no more notes”.

Ninth of February – Mission – Rescuing the Lieutenant went mostly without a hitch- Whiskey Company went into the sewers of Stormwind, ridding it of cultists and their monsters, before retiring our most precious cargo, Lieutenant Prescott.

Seventeenth of February – Mission – A Goblin Company illegally took over Jasperlode Mine within Elwynn. Whiskey was requested to assist in clearing the mine, and arresting the illegal occupants. In the end, some did escape, while five got arrested. The only death was the robot bunny of a Gnome.

Crime
An important part of crime analysis is to look at the statistics of crime within an area. Whiskey is of course not the only Law Enforcement within the city, meaning this will be an Incomplete look at the city as a whole, but more a look at the personal record of Whiskey Company.
The most common crime this month was Murder Making up Roughly 22.58% of all crimes dealt with by Whiskey Company.
Definition of Murder: A person is Guilty of Murder if they intentionally and with Malicious intent kill another person.
Grade: 3
No Executions took place in February.
Overall 35 Reports were made this month. Of those 28.57% Were Guard Logs, recording calls out that did not result in any investigation or reports. 5.71% of those were Medical Logs, detailing where a Medic needed to aid someone. And 65.71% Of those were reports dealing with crimes.
Cadet Training
Cadet is the most crucial rank within Whiskey Company. It’s a time to get it right. To teach the Cadets how to behave as guards, and insure knowledge is imbedded within them. A Guard’s trajectory within the unit will ultimately be judged by how they handle being a Cadet. To insure proper training, we place barriers in their way for them to overcome.
Upon joining as a Cadet, they are issued a Mentor. Their mentor is responsible for helping the Cadet out, and making sure they strive towards the correct incentives. Every Mentor is Constable and above. Depending on the number of Mentors and Cadets at the time, each mentor usually has two to three Cadets under their wing.
Cadets are expected to have issued to them the full uniform, and for any alterations to be made swiftly. Every Guards uniform should be well cared for- dents, scrapes and blots of blood are common, and its each guards duty to see they get sorted out.
Patrols are a crucial part of Guarding- Every Cadet is expected to know the various Patrol routes, and have partook on them. That includes knowing how to act at every location. Along with Patrols, they are required to have the approprate Buzzbox Communication, and be able to attiquatly and clearly state there intentions and issues to other Guardsman.
The arrest procedure can be a difficult thing to grasp- But with the aid of their fellow Guards, Cadets are expecting to partake in the arrests of criminals across Stormwind, as well as filing the correct paperwork afterwards, and to a reasonable standard.
Speaking of paperwork- We require all Guardmembers to undergo a Medical. This will go over their general health, history, and anything that may pop up. Despite popular rumours, no one is required to strip down to their nothing nothings. Simply a removal of gloves, shoulder pads and shirt will do. Keep the surcoat on.
Being a Guard isn’t easy- As such, fighting is often required. Every Cadet is expected to undergo a weapons test. We perform these in a hand-to-hand spar with another member. The Cadet is judged on use of weapon, techniques, how they handle unexpected moves. The key goal is to make sure that should a fight break out, we are not sending untrained Guards in to die. Instead. should a Cadet fail this test, they will undergo further training in the use of a weapon, also known as a weapon trainnig.
Attendance is key for training. We expect Guardsman to attend several trainings and parades in order to achieve training, understanding and a sense of their work.
Evaluation. Towards the end of their time as a cadet, we will call them in for an Evaluation. We will check how they are feeling amongst Whiskey Company, give them ten questions ranging over law and Guarding, and a scenario.
Whiskey Company follows the one month rule- having a Guardsman be a rank for a minimum of a month. Experience can not be rushed.
If any of thease are not complete, failed, or there is something inadequate about the Cadet- such as behavior. They they will be denied the chance to rank up.
For those whom have successeded splendidly, they will have the chance to announce their allegience in an oath on parade. It is as followed:
“I, First and Last name, Swear by the Alliance, that i will be faithful and true to my allegiances to His Majesty. That I will support and Defend Stormwind, That i will be duty bound and bear true faith. I will be bound to defend my King and dignity and all enemies and will Observe and Obey all Orders of His Majesty, His Heir, And the Officers sent over me. Kings Honour. “

Cadet’s Quote of the Month
“The sea is in my blood, aye, it’s shaped me, hardened me. But it’s the steel of Stormwind that truly flows in my veins. I’ve stared into the heart of a storm, healed its fury, blessed its crushing power. And now, that same unwavering strength and protection I offer to the walls of this, my city.
Home. Stormwind. The very thought of returning was the beacon that guided me through countless battles. And when, at long last, I stood within its gates once more, I knew I had to give back, to repay the city that had raised the boy I once was.
The Stormwind Guard. They were more than just soldiers; they were a symbol, a bulwark of courage, respected by all, strong in both body and spirit. I’ve known moments of pride, moments that burned bright in the memory, but standing before them, being accepted into their ranks… that was my finest hour.
The journey ahead is a long one, I know that. There’s much to learn from my brothers and sisters in the Guard. But I stand here, in this moment, and I know, with every fibre of my being, that I could not be in a more fitting place.
I would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to Constable Shadowbane, Issue, my mentor and now my friend.”
– Cadet Bobbi Valentino

Guard Written Story
Ignored…
“The chill in the air mirrored the icy dread in my heart. I watched them, my family, oblivious, each consumed by their own lives. Dad, hunched over his workshop, another late night at the office. Mom, as a navy officer, traveling around Azeroth, she barely had time for us to begin with. And Heather, my big sister, too busy working on her own wedding and her little family.
They were so busy, so utterly absorbed in their own lives, they couldn’t spare a moment to meet with their son, their brother, fading into nothingness. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be. This wasn’t the peaceful farewell I’d envisioned, the one where unspoken regrets were finally voiced. Instead, I was a ghost, an unwelcome shadow in their meticulously arranged lives. I tried; I pleaded with them to come for a family dinner, each of them declining. Their words echoed through my mind.
“We can have a gathering later.”
No, today was too crucial. I went over to Heather’s company for the final round, gave her my customary hug while she winced, and made an effort to convince her. The same response as before. No. I begged her to skip this time, even though I knew it took a lot of work to prepare a wedding. No, still. I gave up and knocked on our parents’ door when I got home. Quiet. Dad had either gotten another client or fallen asleep. As I continued to knock, my heart sank. I secretly hoped Dad was only sleeping, even though I knew it was pointless. I stumbled back to Old Town Alley.
I looked at my friend, who was lying next to me as I sat down on the chilly floor. There was another man, his friend, leaning against the wall, his face hidden by the familiar hood.
Over me stood a big woman with a golden spear, white heavenly wings, and a helmet over her face. “It is time.” her voice boomed. I sighed and stood up. She turned her back on me and opened a portal near the well when, at the same time, the guards rushed towards my friends. They calmly called over on their buzzbox for a stretcher as two of them made a perimeter. We entered the portal, it disappeared at same time we did.
I didn’t look back when they inspected my lifeless body.”
– Constable Veronica Cooper
Officer’s Quote of the Month
“My birth family is a bit of a mess, and until recently I didn’t have anyone I really trusted in it. Whiskey became my surrogate family, and it means the world to me now. From Cadets to Officers, everyone in Whiskey is loved. Except when Thixan was there, I blame him for all the worlds woes.” – Sergeant Naldria
